About Me

Working Late Illustration

Hello! I'm Hanane. I'm a front-end engineer, currently based in Canada, passionate about building for the web. I obtained my B.Sc. degree in software engineering from King Saud University in May 2018. In December 2019, I completed the requirements of my Master of Engineering degree in Computing & Software at McMaster University.

I have always been intrigued with web and mobile user interfaces. Since I also love writing code, I found my passion in working in the intersection of design and development and bridging the gap between the two fields. I love combining my technical skills and eye for design to produce clean, intuitive and accessible interfaces. I am also experienced with implementing full-stack web and mobile applications.

In addition to that, I have extensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and applying software development methodologies like Scrum to software projects.

My main skill set consists of:

  • HTML
  • Modern (S)CSS
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Node.js
  • UI design

Adding on to the above, I have previously worked with:

  • Vue.js/Nuxt.js
  • Python
  • Flask
  • Angular 7
  • React Native
  • Java
  • Swift
  • MySQL
  • Firebase

My experience with a wide range of technologies comes from the fact that I have the flexibility and enthusiasm to learn new languages, frameworks and tools whenever a project requires it. If I'm assigned a project that uses new technologies, I am capable of learning as I'm working and producing excellent results.

I'm a team player and have the ability to effectively lead a team. I led multiple software development projects during my undergraduate studies, my graduation project being the major one. I have excellent communications skills and am proactive at work.
